Dhruv Jurel on Rajasthan Royals’ IPL Auction Bid: ‘I Was in Tears’

Dhruv Jurel recalls his initial response after the Rajasthan Royals signed him during the 2022 Indian Premier League mega auction. The inaugural IPL champions signed him for his base price of twenty lakh rupees. His route to that point, however, was fraught with uncertainty and emotional upheaval on the auction stage.

Nobody bid on Dhruv Jurel when his name appeared for the first time during the auction procedure. He began receiving calls from home, and as time went, a lot of thoughts crossed his mind.

When his name came up again, the Rajasthan Royals increased their paddle to secure his services, according to an appearance on the Aakash Chopra podcast.

Sooryavanshi won the Orange Cap after scoring 776 runs in 16 innings with a strike rate of 237.31.
